It’s why most players will have four different types of guns in four different slots so they can switch when they’re out of ammo for one. Again, this isn’t something you really have to worry about for long, but you will feel ammo starved for a while near the start, and this will help with that.Īnother way to burn through ammo quickly is to use two or three of one particular type of gun which will erase your reserves quickly because they all share one pool. So you will being doing the same amount of damage for like, 20-30% of the ammo with these other types of weapons. The issue is that all guns use the same ammo pool. As in, pick a revolver over an auto-pistol, or a semi-auto AR over a bullet hose.

My advice? Stick with guns that are high damage, low magazine, low fire rate. Depending on what kind of gun you use, you will find yourself absolutely burning through ammo, or having a ton of it. This really only applies to the early part of the campaign, as eventually ammo becomes less and less of a problem, but I did notice this helped me out quite a bit. At First, Focus On Guns That Use Less Ammo Oh also you do this not in the skill tree menu, but in the character customizer on the ship.Ĥ. It’s especially useful for trying out multiple action skill trees with Zane, who can use two at a time. I used this with FL4K for instance, to quickly switch from a pet tree I wasn’t liking, and then I loved the next one I tried.

This allows you to play around with your skill points however you want. This is kind of a general Borderlands advice thing, but I think many new players may not realize that A) they can respec and B) they can respec for very, very cheap, less than it costs to die and respawn or refill your ammo. Don’t miss your loot in this hidden part of the menu. Sometimes they’re bad, but I got many rares and epics that I ended up using immediately because they actually drop at your level, which can take some time in the wild. There you will find email that has not just story tidbits sometime, but literally every level you will be mailed a gun. Rather, it’s in the “Social” part of the other menu that you would normally use to pause or quit the game. But it’s not a terminal on your ship, it’s not anywhere in the inventory menu. When you level up, you will constantly be told that you are getting “email” that you need to check. Weekly gear sets will not be reused until all the available weekly selections have been used, at which point the selection list will be reset and randomly selected from again. This one was so confusing I actually had to email Gearbox about it during my review process. Updated Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine to switch locations without relying on a weekly hotfixĭev Note: Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine has many weeks of new items that will be randomly selected, interspersed between previous weeks’ selections.
